Biemer Vessel Spreader

The Biemer vessel spreader gently parts the open end of a small vessel ahead of a microvascular anastomosis. It comes in 15 cm and 16 cm lengths.

What it does

The tips enter the vessel end and part gently. So the lumen opens and the surgeon can see the wall clearly. Then placing each suture around the rim becomes more straightforward for the surgeon.

Two lengths

Choose 15 cm or 16 cm based on hand size, working depth and personal preference at the microscope. Meanwhile, both lengths suit work under the microscope. Many surgeons try both before settling on one.

With other micro tools

It works alongside micro forceps, scissors and needle holders. Also, it complements a dilator for very small ends. Therefore a micro tray often includes one of each.
