The Backhaus towel forceps are the classic towel clip found on trays everywhere. Sizes from 8 to 15 cm, delicate and standard patterns, and several figures let you match the clip to every drape.

A wide range

We list 8, 10, 11, 13 and 15 cm lengths, in delicate or standard weight. In addition, some versions come with a clip and several figures vary the point shape.

Delicate or standard Backhaus towel forceps

The delicate pattern is lighter and suits paper drapes and small fields. By contrast, the standard pattern holds cloth drapes and heavier layers.

The classic shape

Curved, sharp points meet at the tip and lock with a ratchet. As a result, the layers stay firmly pinned together throughout the case.

Uses beyond drapes

Teams also use Backhaus clips to anchor suction tubing and cables. In some orthopaedic work, surgeons use them to grip small bone fragments.

Choosing a size

Small 8 and 10 cm clips suit hand and face surgery. Meanwhile, 13 and 15 cm clips suit abdominal and limb fields with heavy drapes.

With or without a clip

The clip version adds a small holding feature for tubing. Otherwise, the plain version keeps the classic profile.
