Description
Baby Crile-Wood Needle Holder
A Baby Crile-Wood needle holder scales the classic Crile-Wood down to 15 cm. Its narrower jaws suit paediatric and small-field suturing.
Slimmer than the standard
The baby pattern trims the jaws and shanks. As a result, the tip sits lower in small wounds and blocks less of the view. Your hand also feels less weight over a long closure.
Mini-profile carbide
Carbide inserts with a mini profile give a finer serration than the normal cut. Also, they suit mid-fine sutures well. Gold handles signal the carbide jaws.
Plain stainless jaws
The standard version keeps the cost down. Meanwhile, it still handles general closures in tight spaces. Many clinics start with steel and add carbide later.
Baby or standard
Choose the standard Crile-Wood for heavier needles and deeper wounds. Instead, the baby size fits children, hands and faces. Since both share the same grip, staff switch between them easily. Plus, its light weight suits long clinic lists.
Reprocessing Baby Crile-Wood needle holder
Clear the jaws under running water before any residue sets. Then soak it in an enzyme solution. Lastly, dry the hinge and check the ratchet for a clean lock.
