Description
Atraumatic Extracting Forceps, F Series
Saving bone is often the goal when an implant will follow. Our F series atraumatic forceps support that aim. The set spans both arches, from anterior teeth to molars, plus a lower root figure.
Built Around Atraumatic Technique
We designed these forceps for an atraumatic approach. In practice, that means slow, patient luxation rather than quick force. The goal is to keep the socket walls intact. As a result, the site is often in better shape for a graft or implant later.
The Seven Figures
- Universal: F-1 upper, F-2 lower
- Anterior: F-3 upper, F-4N lower
- Molar: F-6 upper, F-7C lower
- Root: 46XL lower root
Building a Kit by Arch
Start with F-1 and F-2. These two universal figures cover a wide range of teeth in each arch. Then add F-3 and F-4N if you remove many front teeth. For molars, F-6 and F-7C give you a figure for the upper and lower arch. Finally, 46XL handles lower roots. Each figure comes singly, so you can grow the kit as needed.
Slow Luxation, Less Bone Loss
Place the beak tips on root surface below the enamel. After that, hold gentle, steady pressure and wait. The ligament gives way over time. Then add small rotational and buccal moves. Avoid a sharp lever against the thin buccal plate, because that is where bone loss is most likely.
Checks Before Each Case
Before seating, squeeze the handles shut and eye the tips. They should meet evenly. Also work the joint through its range. Any grit or drag means it needs another clean and a drop of lube.
Delivery, Cover and Links
We source each F series atraumatic forceps to our spec, and staff here in the US give it a look before it ships. Bone-sparing work deserves sound metal, so these use a stainless steel matching ASTM F899. Each figure comes to you non-sterile; afterwards, a thorough clean and sterilisation put it back to work. Under our terms you are entitled to three years against manufacturing defects per figure. For another bone-sparing choice, see the serrated beak atraumatic forceps, or explore the extraction forceps catalog. Our FAQ sorts out most order questions.
