An Adson is the small thumb forceps most oral surgeons and periodontists reach for when a flap needs gentle control. This page combines the standard Adson with its finer sibling, so these adson thumb forceps and the Micro-Adson share one listing. Serrated Tips Versus 1:2 Teeth

The catalogue describes two tip styles. Serrated tips are the dressing version: fine cross grooves grip sutures, gauze and thin tissue without piercing it. By contrast, the 1:2Th option puts a single tooth on one side that fits between two teeth opposite. That toothed bite holds a mucoperiosteal flap securely while you suture. So many clinicians keep one of each on the surgical tray.

Standard or Micro Jaws

The Standard option is the classic Adson tip. Meanwhile, the Micro option is the catalogue’s Micro-Adson, with a finer working end for papillae, grafts and tight anterior sites. If most of your work is implant or periodontal plastic surgery, the Micro jaws usually feel more precise. For general extractions and flap closure, the Standard tip is the everyday choice.

Choosing Length and Material

• 12cm: the compact Adson length, easy to control in the anterior mouth
• 13cm: a slightly longer reach for premolar regions
• 15cm: extra length for posterior flaps and deeper access
• Stainless Steel or Tungsten Carbide: two material versions listed in the options

Each Adson pair passes a hands-on check by our United States staff before dispatch. Whichever tip and length you pick, Intrace USA warrants it for three years against manufacturing defects in jaws, teeth or spring. Because the forceps arrive non-sterile, clean and autoclave them before use.
