Description
2-Ring Aspirating Dental Syringe
The 2-ring aspirating syringe gives your fingers two open loops rather than closed rings. A thumb ring at the back handles the push and the pull. A harpoon hooks the stopper of any standard 1.8 ml cartridge.
Open loops, easy release
Because the finger loops are open, your fingers can slide in and out fast. That helps when you pass the syringe to an assistant or set it down. Meanwhile, the loops still give more grip than a flat flange.
Halfway between flange and rings
Think of the 2-ring aspirating syringe as a middle step. A flange syringe only offers a rest for the push. A 3-ring syringe closes the fingers in. This one lets the fingers hook the loops for some pull, yet it frees them in a moment.
Thick gloves and large hands
Closed rings can pinch when gloves are thick. So open loops often suit users with larger fingers. Try a few injections on a model first to judge the fit.
- Two open finger loops
- Closed ring for the thumb
- Harpoon for pull-back checks
Aspiration routine
Place the tip, then pull the thumb ring back a little. Look for blood in the cartridge. If it stays clear, push slowly and keep your fingers in the loops.
Cleaning the loops
Open loops have no hidden corners, so brushing them is quick. Still, clean the barrel and harpoon with care before you dry and sterilize it.
Please note that it is delivered non-sterile; reuse it once you have cleaned and sterilised it. Each steel part meets ASTM F899. Every 2-ring syringe carries three years against manufacturing defects, finger loops included. Browse dental anaesthesia syringes, view the closed 3-ring model, or open our FAQs page.
