Description
Wachenfeldt Clip Forceps
The Wachenfeldt clip forceps place and remove small wound clips. Their narrow jaws suit the small clips often used on the scalp, neck and face.
Narrow jaws
Slim jaws hold a small clip without covering the skin beside it. Consequently, the user sees exactly where the clip lands.
Length of the Wachenfeldt clip forceps
At 12.5 cm, the forceps balance well in the hand. In addition, they fit neatly in a small dressing pack.
Scalp and neck closures
Scalp wounds close quickly with clips, even through hair. Similarly, neck incisions heal with a neat line when small clips hold the edges.
Applying
Lift and evert the edges first. Next, centre the clip and close it with a firm squeeze. Then check the prongs sit evenly.
Removing
The forceps open each clip gently, letting it slide out. As a result, patients find removal quick and comfortable.
Wachenfeldt clip forceps through hair
On the scalp, there is no need to shave a wide strip before clipping. Simply part the hair along the wound, and the slim jaws place each clip between the strands.
