Voltolini (Duplay) Nasal Specula
The Voltolini nasal speculum, also known as the Duplay pattern, holds the nostril open by itself. Clinicians use a Voltolini nasal speculum when they want both hands free for work inside the nose.
Why self-retaining helps
A handheld speculum ties up one hand for the whole procedure. Instead, a self-retaining Voltolini stays open once set. As a result, the clinician can use suction in one hand and a forceps in the other.

Rinse the Voltolini blades after each use. Then brush every joint and moving part carefully. Dry it fully before you sterilize and store it.
