Description

Verbrugge-Müller Bone Levers

The Verbrugge-Müller bone lever is a strong retractor for opening a view onto bone. It comes with a 24 mm or a 65 mm blade.

Two very different widths

The 24 mm blade suits most limb exposures and fits between muscle groups. By contrast, the 65 mm blade holds back large tissue masses, such as around the hip. So the pair covers a wide range.

Strength where it counts

The lever has a sturdy body that resists bending. Therefore it can hold firm muscle for long periods. Meanwhile, the tip keeps a secure grip on bone.

Where the Verbrugge-Müller bone lever helps

Trauma surgeons use it during femur and pelvic fixation. Also, joint replacement teams use the broad blade around the hip. It suits revision work too.

Using it safely

Seat the tip on bone and lever slowly. Then check that skin edges are not under strain. Release from time to time in long cases.

Choosing between the widths

If most of your work is on the forearm, tibia or humerus, the 24 mm blade will see daily use. However, hip and pelvic teams will reach for the 65 mm blade more often. Consequently, many trays carry both.

Our pledge behind your lever

When each Verbrugge-Müller lever shows a production defect, we honor three years against manufacturing defects. Each lever gets a careful check from Atlanta staff before dispatch.
