Description
Table Post
This retractor table post clamps to the side rail of the OR table. It then holds a frame retractor system above the patient.
Retractor table post: why a post matters
A frame retractor needs a fixed anchor so its blades hold position. Because the post clamps to the table, the frame stays put through the case. So assistants no longer need to pull on hand-held blades.
Mounting on the rail
First, fit the clamp onto the table rail where you want the frame. Then tighten it until the post stands firm. Next, attach the bar or frame your system uses.
One size
The post comes in one size. However, rails differ between table makers, so check yours before you order. We can help confirm the fit if you share the table model.
Pairing with other parts
Most setups use the retractor table post with a bar and a set of blades. Also, some teams place one post on each side of the table. In that case, order two posts together.
Reprocessing retractor table post
Remove the post from the rail before cleaning so no gap stays hidden. Then scrub the clamp and any moving parts with a soft brush. Plus, dry the post fully and keep it on a shelf away from sharp instruments.
