Sterilizing Tray

The perforated sterilizing tray lets steam flow around every instrument in the load. Holes across the base and walls also help water drain after the cycle.

Many sizes and depths

We list twenty-six sizes. Footprints include 240 x 250 mm, 400 x 250 mm, 480 x 250 mm, 510 x 250 mm and 550 x 250 mm. Depths run from 30 mm to 100 mm.

Why perforation matters

Steam must touch every surface to sterilise it. Solid trays can trap air pockets. By contrast, a perforated tray lets steam in and condensate out.

Where the perforated sterilizing tray fits

Sterile services departments use it for theatre sets. Clinics use smaller sizes for minor kits. Labs and dental practices use them too.

Choosing a depth

Flat sets need only 30 or 50 mm. Retractors and bowls need 70 or 100 mm. So match depth to the tallest item in the set.

Loading tips

Place heavy items at the bottom and delicate ones on top. Open hinged instruments before loading. Afterwards, leave space so steam can circulate.

Keeping holes clear

Rinse the tray and hold it to the light to spot blocked holes. Wash and dry it before reuse. Also, inspect the mesh for bent edges.
