Stanzen Punch Sinuscopy Forceps

Stanzen punch forceps take small bites of tissue within the nasal passages and sinus openings. Surgeons reach for these punches during endoscopic sinus surgery to remove tissue in controlled pieces.

Punching instead of tearing

A punch cuts a defined bite every time the jaws meet. As a result, the surgeon removes tissue cleanly rather than pulling it. That also helps protect nearby mucosa.

Three bite sizes

We offer bites of 1.5 x 6 mm, 2 x 6 mm and 2.5 x 8 mm. Also, all three come on a 12 cm instrument. So the choice depends on how much tissue you want per bite.

In a sinus tray

Surgeons often use a punch after opening an area with other forceps. For instance, the punch may enlarge an opening in small steps. Meanwhile, suction keeps the view clear.

Choosing a bite

Small bites suit delicate areas and fine trimming. In contrast, the 2.5 x 8 mm bite removes more tissue at once. Many surgeons keep two sizes for flexibility.
