Description
Solution Bowls
The solution bowl holds saline, antiseptic or irrigation fluid on the scrub table. A wide range of sizes covers everything from a splash to several litres.
Fifteen sizes
Sizes run from 40 x 20 mm to 380 x 130 mm. Across and deep, in that order, is how each size reads. The biggest bowls therefore hold a full irrigation volume.
Why a steel solution bowl
Steel resists heat and harsh solutions. It also keeps its shape after many cycles. Therefore, it lasts much longer than plastic.
Where it is used
Theatres use it for prep and irrigation fluids. Wards use it for dressings. Labs and dental practices also keep a few.
Choosing a size
Pick a bowl with room to spare above the fluid line. Additionally, that lowers the risk of spills. Also, many trays carry one small and one large bowl.
Handling
Carry larger bowls with two hands on the rim. Then pour slowly. Furthermore, the rolled rim helps the flow stay smooth.

Care routine
Empty and rinse the bowl soon after use. Wash and dry it. Then nest bowls by size.
Aftercare and service
Teams receive three years against manufacturing defects on every bowl on top of our checks. Before it leaves us, our Atlanta team inspects the bowl by hand. We will happily suggest an option on request. Many surgical teams order a second bowl for back-to-back cases. The help page covers orders, shipping and returns. It pairs well with our round bowls. For a primer on surgical-grade stainless, consult ASTM F899. Visit our complete general surgery lineup for other sizes.
For hospital and clinic use. Our sterilization page outlines photo differences and nickel in surgical steel. Dispatch windows appear on our delivery terms.
