Description
Slotted Hammer
The slotted hammer is a 30 cm instrument used during implant extraction. Its slot lets it slide on an extraction rod or hook.
How it works
The hammer slides along the rod and strikes a stop near the handle. Therefore each blow pulls the implant outward. As a result, stuck nails come free gradually.
Size
At 30 cm, the hammer gives a good stroke length. Meanwhile, its weight delivers firm blows. Moreover, it suits most extraction setups.
Who uses a slotted hammer
Trauma surgeons use it to remove intramedullary nails. Also, revision surgeons use it for other implants. Furthermore, it pairs with extraction hooks.
Safe extraction
Hold the limb steady and keep hands clear of the sliding path. Then strike with controlled force. Check progress on imaging.
Matching the rod
The slot must suit your extraction rod. Consequently, confirm your system before ordering. Besides, we can help.
