The Sheehan osteotome is a nasal osteotome for rhinoplasty. It comes in seven widths, so a surgeon can match the blade to thin nasal bone at each step.

Seven blade sizes

We offer seven blade sizes: 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 mm. This wide range covers fine, narrow cuts through to broader ones. So a surgeon can pick the exact width for each step.

Why a full range helps

Osteotomy needs differ from one nose to the next. For example, a thin bone may call for a very narrow blade. Meanwhile, thicker areas may need a wider one to cut cleanly.

Where it fits

Surgeons often use osteotomes after they lower a dorsal hump. Then lateral and medial cuts help shape the nasal bones. Because each blade has two bevels, it tends to run straight through bone.

Ordering a set

Many teams choose three or four widths rather than all seven. For instance, 4, 7 and 10 mm give a practical spread. However, if your surgeons vary widely in technique, the full range may suit you better.

Caring for your Sheehan osteotome

Rinse each blade soon after use. Next, clean it gently by hand and check the edge for nicks. Then dry it and sterilize it with the edge protected.
