Senn-Green Retractor

The Senn-Green retractor is a small hand-held tool for shallow wounds and minor procedures. It measures 15 cm and comes with one of two blade sizes.

Blade options

Choose a 10 x 6 mm or a 20 x 6 mm blade. So the shorter blade suits a very shallow cut in thin skin. Meanwhile, the longer blade reaches slightly deeper into fat.

Superficial work

Surgeons use it to lift skin and fat at the edge of a small incision. Then the assistant holds a gentle, steady pull for as long as needed. Because the tool stays small, it rarely blocks the view.

Light handling

A short body keeps the assistant’s hand close to the working area. Also, light instruments reduce hand fatigue across long lists. Therefore it suits clinics and day units with many minor cases.

Cleaning Senn-Green retractor

Rinse the blade under warm water once the case ends. Then scrub the blade tip and the handle with a soft nylon brush. Finally, dry it and store the two sizes side by side in the tray.
