Description
Schumacher Cervical Biopsy and Specimen Forceps Shaft
Schumacher biopsy forceps come here as a complete instrument, ready to use on a 24 cm shaft. You can choose a 5.0 mm bite in Fig 1 or a 7.0 mm bite in Fig 2.
Two bite sizes
Fig 1 takes a 5.0 mm bite for small or targeted lesions. By contrast, Fig 2 takes a 7.0 mm bite for a larger sample. So pick the size that matches your usual cases.
A complete instrument
Unlike our tip-only and handle-only Schumacher parts, this listing arrives whole. Therefore, you need nothing else to start sampling. Also, it makes a simple choice for a clinic that wants one piece.
24 cm reach
The 24 cm shaft reaches the cervix comfortably through a speculum. Meanwhile, the hand stays out of the colposcope’s line of sight. Plus, Schumacher biopsy forceps give good control at this length.
Pairing sizes
Some clinics stock both figures side by side. That way, the clinician chooses a bite at the moment of sampling. In addition, a second pair covers reprocessing gaps.
Cleaning Schumacher biopsy forceps
Rinse the jaws soon after use so tissue does not harden in them. Next, brush the shaft and the working end, then rinse again. Dry the Schumacher biopsy forceps and store the two figures in marked slots.
