Resano Atrauma Sigmoid Anastomosis Clamp

The Resano anastomosis clamp holds the sigmoid colon during anastomosis. Its atraumatic jaws grip without crushing, and it measures 30 cm with a curve.

Atraumatic jaws

The jaw pattern spreads pressure along the bowel wall. Therefore it holds tissue that you plan to keep and join.

Length and curve

At 30 cm, it is the longest of our sigmoid anastomosis clamps. In addition, the curve helps you reach down into the pelvis.

Using it in colorectal surgery

Surgeons often place this clamp across the colon during the anastomosis stage of a sigmoid resection. Then the jaws hold the bowel steady while the join is made. Because the jaws are atraumatic, the tissue keeps its blood supply. Also, the long curve helps you reach low in the pelvis. When you release it, open the ratchet slowly so the tissue does not spring. Also, pair it with a shorter clamp if the field changes during the case.

Clean the fine jaw pattern with a soft brush after use. Then rinse and dry the clamp before sterilization.
