Description
Ratchet Mechanism
This retractor ratchet mechanism serves table-mounted frame retractor systems, such as Rochard and ring systems. It comes in a standard or a tilting version.
Retractor ratchet mechanism: standard version
The standard version suits most setups. So it makes a sensible first choice for a new system. Also, it keeps the build simple for staff who assemble the system before each case.
Tilt version
The tilting version lets you set an angle as well as a height. Therefore, you can tune the direction of lift. As a result, the exposure adapts to the patient.
Part of a frame system
On its own, the mechanism does nothing useful. Instead, it links into a table-mounted system alongside a frame and blades. Then it holds whatever lift you set until you release it.
Rochard and ring systems
In Rochard setups, the ratchet raises the costal margin blade. Meanwhile, ring systems use it within their own frame. Plus, choose the version that matches your existing system, and ask us if you are not sure which one fits.
Looking after retractor ratchet mechanism
Work the ratchet through its full travel while you rinse it. Next, brush along its teeth to clear debris. Finally, dry it fully and store it with the rest of the frame system.
