Description
Pitanguy Forceps
The Pitanguy forceps marks and holds tissue during aesthetic surgery. Ivo Pitanguy used it to plan breast and abdominal reshaping.
Two lengths
We offer 13 cm and 16 cm. Besides, the short version suits small areas. Meanwhile, the longer one reaches across larger flaps.
How Pitanguy forceps help
They pinch tissue to test how much skin the surgeon can remove. Then the tips mark the result. So planning stays accurate on the table.
Typical use
Breast reduction, lift and abdominoplasty all use it. It also helps in face and body contouring. Moreover, plastic trays often hold both lengths.
Technique
Grip the skin and pull gently together. Check closure tension by eye. Then mark the points and repeat along the line.
Pairing
Use it with a skin marker and ruler. Together they make the plan clear. As a result, the team can follow it step by step.
What sets Pitanguy forceps apart
The jaws open wide enough to gather a broad fold of skin. In addition, the tips meet precisely, so each mark lands where the fold closed. For this reason, many surgeons trust it more than a ruler when they judge skin excess.

Aftercare and inspection
Prior to shipping, someone in Atlanta assesses the Pitanguy pattern one at a time. In the rare case the forceps shows a build flaw, we honor three years against manufacturing defects.
