Neivert Chisel

The Neivert chisel is a long, straight tool for septal bone. Driven by a mallet, its edge divides bone and cartilage deep in the nasal cavity.

Why the straight form works

A straight chisel carries each mallet blow directly to its edge. As a result, the surgeon gets a clean, even cut with little wasted force. It also makes the blade easy to align with the planned line.

One 20 cm version

We offer this chisel at 20 cm, straight. That length reaches deep parts of the septum while the hand stays clear of the face. Since we do not list the blade width, ask us and we will check a unit.

Steps where it helps

During septoplasty, surgeons sometimes need to free or remove a bony section. For instance, a chisel can separate a deviated piece near the floor of the nose. Then forceps lift the loose fragment out.
