Description
Needle Holder for Right- or Left-Handed Surgeons
Our left-handed needle holder solves a common problem for surgeons who suture with their left hand. We also make the same spring holder for right-handed use.
Built for your hand
The jaw angle and grip suit one hand only. So the needle sits naturally for forehand passes. Tell us which hand you use when you order.
Spring micro design
A light spring opens the jaws on release. Meanwhile, the slim frame fits microsurgical fields. The action feels the same in either version.
Two lengths
Choose 14 or 15 cm in either hand. Then match the length to your usual forceps. A left-handed needle holder at 15 cm suits a relaxed wrist. Both lengths suit microsurgical fields of moderate depth.
Why handedness matters
A holder made for the other hand forces an awkward wrist angle. As a result, fine sutures take more effort. With a matched holder, the motion feels natural again. Also, a left-handed needle holder helps trainees build good habits early. Then their technique develops without a forced wrist twist.
Cleaning left-handed needle holder
Rinse the jaws and spring right after the case. Next, clean the hinge area with a soft brush. Finally, dry and store the holder with its hand marking visible.
