Description
Mod. Bonn Fixation Forceps, 1 x 2 Teeth
This modified Bonn fixation forceps has fine teeth, one meeting two, sized at 0.12 mm. You can order it at 7 cm or 10 cm, and with or without a guide pin. So you can match the forceps to your hand and to how you like the tips to close.
7 cm or 10 cm
The 7 cm size keeps your hand close to the eye. By contrast, the 10 cm size gives more reach and a longer lever. Pick the length that matches your other fine forceps.
With a guide pin
A guide pin helps the two arms meet in line. As a result, the tips close true each time, even with fine teeth. Many surgeons value that for precise corneal suturing.
- 7 cm or 10 cm length
- Fine 0.12 mm teeth in a 1×2 pattern
- With guide pin option
- Without guide pin option
Without a guide pin
Without a pin, the forceps feels a little simpler and lighter. Also, it has one less part to clean. Some surgeons prefer this version for its smooth action.
Fine 0.12 mm teeth
One tooth meets two, so the tissue locks between them. Therefore, the bite stays tiny but secure. It suits holding corneal or limbal wound edges while sutures go in.
Cleaning around the pin
If your forceps has a guide pin, brush around it after use. Then rinse and dry it fully. Finally, check that the tips align and the teeth are intact under magnification.
