Description
Mini-Roux Retractor
The Mini-Roux retractor offers a double-ended Roux profile in a compact 15 cm size. It sits between the Baby-Roux and the full Roux figures.
A middle size
Some wounds need more reach than 13 cm but less than a full Roux. In that case, this size bridges the gap well. Plus, it keeps the light, nimble feel of the smaller tool.
Two ends to work with
One end differs from the other in size and profile. So you flip it to match the depth in front of you. That avoids a second instrument on the field.
Hand-held control
An assistant can adjust tension with small wrist movements. As a result, exposure shifts easily as the surgeon moves along the wound. Also, the tool comes out fast when you no longer need it.
Typical cases
Hernia repairs, small excisions and pediatric procedures all suit the Mini-Roux retractor. In addition, plastic surgeons use it for soft tissue work near the surface. Then it pairs well with a Baby-Roux on the same tray. Also, its short length keeps the hand clear of the surgeon’s line of sight.
Cleaning Mini-Roux retractor
Keep the instrument moist until reprocessing starts. Then clean both blades with a soft brush and rinse off any detergent. Once dry, look along each end for nicks before storage.
