Smooth jaws

The jaws have no serration. As a result, they spare delicate micro sutures from crush marks. These holders suit the finest nylon and polypropylene threads.

Five lengths

The 15 and 16 cm sizes suit surface work. Meanwhile, 18, 19 and 23 cm reach deeper microsurgical fields. Every length keeps the same light spring.

Choosing a length

Let the depth of the anastomosis guide your size. For example, hand and plastic surgeons often use 15 or 16 cm. By contrast, neuro and deep vascular work may call for 23 cm. Plus, a light spring keeps finger effort low across long cases. So surgeons can stitch for hours with less fatigue. Also, the smooth faces leave no marks on fine monofilament. So you can regrip the needle many times in one case.

Cleaning smooth micro needle holders

Rinse them with distilled water after use. Next, use a soft brush on the jaws and the spring joint. Finally, dry them and store them in a rack with tip guards.
