Description
Mallet (Ferrozell,Without Lead)
This Ferrozell mallet has a large, synthetic head that strikes softly yet firmly. You can order it with a lead core or without one.
Lead core or not
The version without lead keeps a lively, lighter feel. Meanwhile, the lead-filled version adds mass inside the head and cuts rebound. Additionally, both protect instrument handles thanks to the synthetic faces.
Size
The mallet is 25 cm long, with a 42 mm head of about 400 g. So it suits medium to heavy bone work. The long handle also gives a good swing.
Uses for the Ferrozell mallet
Orthopedic and trauma teams use it for osteotomies and graft impaction. It also suits joint surgery. In addition, its quieter strike makes long cases more pleasant for the team.
Choosing your version
Pick the lead-filled head if you need firm blows with little bounce. However, choose the version without lead for a quicker, livelier feel. Ask us if you are unsure.
Synthetic faces and handles
A hard metal face can mark chisel tops over years of use. In contrast, a Ferrozell head spreads the force and spares them. Consequently, many teams choose synthetic heads for their premium blades.

Delivery basics
Ahead of packing, our Atlanta team examines each mallet piece by piece. If this mallet shows a material fault, you have three years against manufacturing defects. Most clinics order a second mallet so a case never waits. We gladly prepare a quote for repeat orders. You might pair it with our 18 cm solid version. For quick help, visit the buyer FAQ. Search our main orthopedic range too. The FDA lists ASTM F899 for stainless for instruments.
