The Lempert curette is a bone curette for ear and mastoid surgery. Otologists use it to scrape away small amounts of bone and diseased tissue.

Some bone in the ear canal and mastoid needs gentle removal rather than drilling. So a sharp curette offers fine control. The Lempert cup scrapes bone in small, careful strokes.
