The Langenbeck ear curette is a compact curved curette for otology work. ENT doctors use it to clear debris, crusts and cerumen from the ear canal.

What the curette does

A curette has a small cupped tip with an edge. It scrapes material free and then carries it out. So the clinician can clean the canal walls and get a clear view of the eardrum.

This curette comes in one version: curved and 13 cm long. The curve keeps your fingers away from the ear opening. Meanwhile, the short length gives fine control in the outer canal. We do not list the tip width, so please contact us for it.

Rinse the tip soon after the exam. Next, brush the cup with a small soft brush and inspect the edge. Dry the curette and sterilize it by steam.
