Kristeller Vaginal Retractor

The Kristeller vaginal retractor is the anterior-wall blade of the two-piece Kristeller system. It works as a component, paired with a Kristeller speculum blade.

Part of a two-piece system

One blade holds the anterior wall while its partner holds the posterior wall. So you need both pieces for the full Kristeller setup. Also, you can buy this blade alone to replace a worn piece or add a new size.

Eleven sizes

Sizes start at 75 x 23 mm and run to 115 x 32 mm. Meanwhile, the 110 and 115 mm lengths come in several widths. Therefore, you can fine-tune the width without changing length.

Reading the numbers

Each size lists blade length first, then width. For example, 100 x 32 mm means a 100 mm long, 32 mm wide blade. Then match it to the speculum blade you already own.

Buying alone or in a set

Order a single Kristeller vaginal retractor when one size wears out or goes missing. Alternatively, buy it as part of the set with its matching speculum blade. That way, both pieces arrive together.

Reprocessing Kristeller vaginal retractor

Clean the blade separately from its partner piece. Then brush the whole face and edges, and rinse off any detergent. Finally, dry it and store it beside its matching speculum blade so the pair stays together.
