Konig Nail Splitting Scissors
The Konig nail scissors split thick or ingrown toenails with a strong, controlled cut. A slim lower blade slides beneath the nail, while longer handles give the leverage that tough nails demand.
Two lengths for extra leverage
We offer 13 cm and 15 cm. The 13 cm pair suits most toes, whereas the 15 cm pair adds leverage for very thick, fungal or curved nails.
Why podiatrists like the Konig nail scissors
Thick nails resist small splitters and can crack unevenly. By contrast, the longer handles and sturdy blades of this pattern cut cleanly along the planned line.
Partial nail avulsion
For an ingrown edge, the clinician splits a narrow strip from tip to base. Afterwards, the strip comes out with forceps, and the nail fold can settle and heal.
Keeping the nail bed safe
Hold the lower blade flat against the underside of the nail plate. In this way, the blade glides along the plate rather than digging into the bed beneath it.
Pairing on the nail tray
Nail elevators, nippers and fine forceps complete a nail surgery set. Together, they cover lifting, splitting and removing the nail edge.
Sharpness matters
A dull splitter crushes instead of cutting. Therefore, inspect the blades regularly and send them for sharpening when the cut starts to tear.

Konig care
Scrub nail debris from the blades and joint. Dry, add a drop of oil to the screw and sterilise.
The cover behind the scissors
The Konig splitter carries three years against manufacturing defects in both lengths. Before shipment, an inspector in Atlanta assesses the Konig pattern closely.
