Description
Kevorkian-Pacific Cervical Biopsy and Specimen Forceps Shaft
Kevorkian-Pacific biopsy forceps take small punch samples from the cervix during a colposcopy. They come in a shaft pattern with a shaft of about 22 cm.
A Kevorkian variant
The Pacific version builds on the familiar Kevorkian punch design. So staff who know Kevorkian jaws will find it easy to adopt. Also, it gives clinics another option within the same family.
Shaft-pattern body
Here the jaws sit at the end of a shaft rather than on a scissor-style body. Therefore, the instrument reaches the cervix in a straight line from the hand. Then the operator can aim through the speculum with little adjustment.
Sizing
The shaft measures about 22 cm. In addition, that length suits a standard adult speculum examination. So one size covers most colposcopy clinics.
When to choose it
Choose the Kevorkian-Pacific biopsy forceps if your team prefers Kevorkian jaws on a shaft. Alternatively, our Kevorkian tip-only part mounts on the interchangeable handle. That way, you can match the format to your stock.
Reprocessing Kevorkian-Pacific biopsy forceps
Flush blood and mucus from the jaws right after the procedure. Then brush the joint and the shaft, and rinse under running water. Finally, dry the Kevorkian-Pacific biopsy forceps and keep them in a padded tray.
