Joseph-Masing Septum Periosteal Elevator
The Joseph-Masing elevator combines two familiar names in nasal surgery. It is a long, curved septum periosteal elevator for lifting lining off deep septal cartilage and bone.
Extra reach at 23 cm
At 23 cm, this is one of the longer elevators in our range. As a result, the tip can reach the rear septum and still leave the hand outside the nose. Surgeons who work deep often value that reach.
Curve and control
The curved shape follows the septal surface. So the surgeon can keep the tip in the right plane over a longer distance. It also helps with visibility along the shaft.
In a septoplasty
For example, a deviation may extend far back into the bony septum. The surgeon then needs a long elevator to free the lining there. Afterward, forceps or chisels can deal with the bone.
