Description
Jacobson Needle Holder
This Jacobson needle holder uses ring handles rather than a spring grip. At 18 cm, it gives fine suturing a longer, steadier reach.
Ring-handled pattern
Finger rings and a ratchet let you lock the needle and let go. However, we also sell a spring-handled micro Jacobson as a separate item. Choose the rings if you like a locked grip between passes.
Micro-profile carbide
The carbide jaws carry the finest serration we offer. As a result, they hold small needles without crushing fine suture material. Gold handles mark this version at a glance.
Plain steel choice
Plain stainless jaws suit general fine work. Meanwhile, the carbide pair keeps its bite for many more cycles. Both versions of the Jacobson needle holder share the same 18 cm frame.
Where it fits
Vascular and deep microsurgical closures often need length plus a light grip. So an 18 cm Jacobson needle holder bridges general and micro sets. Pair it with fine forceps of a similar length.
Care of Jacobson needle holder
Open the rings and rinse the jaws while the debris is still wet. Then brush the fine serration lengthwise with a soft nylon brush. Also, oil the ratchet lightly before each sterilization cycle.
