Description
Haslinger Retractor
The Haslinger retractor is a curved hand retractor for ENT work in the mouth and throat. It holds soft tissue aside so the surgeon keeps a clear view.
Clearing the view
Soft tissue in the throat tends to fall back into the field. So a retractor holds it away while the surgeon works. As a result, the surgeon spends less time repositioning tissue.
A curved 18 cm design
The Haslinger pattern we list has an 18 cm length and a curve. The curve helps it follow the contours of the oral cavity. Please contact us for blade dimensions, since we do not list them.
Where surgeons use it
ENT teams may use this retractor in tonsil and palate work. For instance, an assistant can hold tissue back while the surgeon dissects. Also, it suits other short procedures inside the mouth.
Picking a throat retractor
We carry several curved throat retractors, including the Hofer and Nager patterns at 23 cm. In contrast, the Haslinger gives a shorter 18 cm option. Choose the length that suits your patients and team.
Caring for the Haslinger
Rinse off saliva and blood soon after the procedure. Then scrub the curved blade and handle with a nylon brush. Finally, dry the Haslinger retractor fully and sterilize it.
