Description
Hand Drills L-Key
The hand drill L-key tightens and loosens the chuck on our orthopedic hand drill. It is sold as a spare or replacement.
A small but essential part
Without the key, the chuck cannot grip a bit firmly. Therefore a lost key can stop a case. Moreover, a spare avoids that problem.
How it works
The key fits into the chuck and turns it. As a result, the chuck jaws close on the bit. Turning back releases it.
Who needs a hand drill L-key
Owners of our hand drill should keep a spare. Also, sterile processing departments order replacements after losses. Field teams keep extras.
Fit
Please confirm your hand drill before ordering. Furthermore, we will check that the key fits the chuck. Besides, that avoids returns.
Storage
Small keys go missing in wash baskets. Consequently, attach the key to the drill set or store it in a labeled slot. Count it after each case.
Tightening technique
Insert the key and turn until the chuck feels firm. Then check that the bit does not slip. Overtightening is rarely needed.
