What a scoop does

A scoop gathers and lifts tissue rather than scraping it. By contrast, a curette works mainly with an edge. Therefore, many sets carry both instruments side by side.

Reprocessing Gourdet uterine scoop

Rinse the bowl of the scoop promptly, before tissue can harden in it. Next, brush the inner and outer faces and flush with clean water. Finally, dry the Gourdet uterine scoop and group the figures in size order.
