Faulkner Curette

The Faulkner curette is a straight sinus curette for removing tissue in the nose and maxillary sinus. ENT surgeons use it to scrape out mucosa, polyps and debris.

A straight approach

A straight shaft gives a direct path to the target. As a result, the surgeon can apply firm, controlled pressure. It suits areas that lie in line with the approach, such as the floor of an opened sinus.

In sinus procedures

Straight curettes suit direct access. However, curved curettes reach around corners. Many trays therefore hold one of each so the surgeon can switch mid-case.

Soak or rinse the curette as soon as the case ends. Next, brush inside the cup until no tissue remains. Once it is dry, sterilize it and store it with the cup facing up.
