The curved scalp elevator lifts the scalp off the skull in endoscopic brow and forehead work. A bend in the shaft keeps the 7 mm blade flat against the rounded bone.

Three depths of curve

You can pick a gentle curve, a strong curve or a very strong curve. The gentle bend suits the flatter crown. Meanwhile, the deeper bends follow the forehead as it turns down toward the brow.

Each curve comes with an ergonomic handle or a standard handle. Furthermore, that gives six versions in total. As a result, a surgeon can match both the anatomy and the hand.

Where it sits in a lift

Most lifts start with a straight elevator near the ports. Then the curved patterns take over as the plane moves forward. Finally, finer dissectors finish the work near the orbit.

Keep the convex face against the skull. Advance in short sweeps and watch the endoscopic image. Also, rotate the handle slightly to stay on the curve rather than pushing harder.
