Eiselsberg Ligature Scissors

The Eiselsberg ligature scissors cut ligatures and sutures with a notched lower blade. The notch cradles the thread, so it cannot slide away as the blades close.

The notched blade

A small notch near the tip holds the thread in place. Consequently, the cut is crisp even on slippery monofilament.
