Description

Easy Access Bracket Tweezers

Our easy access bracket tweezers help you place brackets where room is tight. As the name says, the pattern aims at reach. We list two styles, so you can pick the drawing that suits your hand.

Style A and Style B

Style A is the main catalogue drawing of these tweezers. Style B is a second drawing of the same instrument. The catalogue does not say how the two differ, so please check the photos and choose the one you like. You can order each style singly if you want to try both.

Reaching the back of the arch

Access gets harder toward the molars. Also cheeks and tongue tend to crowd the field. So a tweezer pattern built for reach can save time on second premolars and molar tubes. In addition, it helps when a patient cannot open wide.

Tips for tight spots

  • Approach from the side with the clearest view.
  • Keep your fulcrum close to the working area.
  • Use a mirror to check the slot before curing.
  • Ask the assistant to retract the cheek gently.

Pairing with a standard tweezer

Many clinicians use a standard tweezer for the front teeth. Then they switch to an access pattern for the back. As a result, each pair works in the zone it suits. Keep both on the tray so the switch is quick.

Care that keeps tips true

Tips that meet cleanly hold brackets well. Therefore look at them after each cycle. Also avoid dropping the tweezers, because a bent tip is hard to see but easy to feel.

Style A and Style B both arrive in non-sterile condition; after a proper clean and sterilization they are reusable many times over. Both drawings follow our specification, and each pair passes an exam by Intrace staff in the United States. Access tweezers here use stainless steel made to the ASTM F899 standard. Our cover stays at three years against manufacturing defects, whichever style ends up in your cassette. Then take a look at our orthodontic tray tools, the Slipper Bracket Tweezers, or our FAQ page.
