Description
Dietrich Micro Needle Holder, Tungsten Carbide
The Dietrich micro needle holder brings fine suturing to deep fields. It comes in seven lengths, from 15 cm up to 26 cm.
Spring handles
A spring keeps the jaws open until you press the handles. So you can roll the instrument in your fingers and set each needle angle precisely. That light action reduces hand fatigue in long cases.
Carbide inserts
Tungsten carbide lines the jaw tips. In addition, the gold handles tell you at a glance that the jaws carry hard inserts. Then the carbide jaws keep a firm hold on fine needles across many cycles.
Unusual reach
Few micro holders run past 20 cm. However, this model reaches 23, 25 and 26 cm, which helps in deep cavities. So the Dietrich micro needle holder covers depths where short micro tools fall short.
Choosing a length
The 15 and 16 cm sizes suit near-surface micro work. Next, 18 and 20 cm cover moderate depth. Finally, the longest Dietrich micro needle holder sizes serve deep thoracic or abdominal micro suturing.
Reprocessing Dietrich micro needle holder
Handle the fine tips with care, because a drop can bend them. Then clean the jaws with a soft brush and run water through the spring area. Afterwards, dry each holder and fit a protective tip cap.
