DeBakey Micro Grasping Forceps

DeBakey micro grasping forceps hold fine vessels and tissue with the DeBakey atraumatic tip. They come with 1.2 mm or 1.8 mm tips, straight or angled.

Tip widths

The 1.2 mm tip suits the smallest structures. By contrast, the 1.8 mm tip gives a little more holding surface. So pick by the size of vessel you handle most.

Straight or angled

Straight tips keep the grasp in line with your fingers. However, angled tips help you see around them under magnification. Many teams stock both shapes in each tip width.

The DeBakey pattern

DeBakey tips aim to grip without crushing tissue. As a result, they suit vessels you want to protect. That makes them a common choice in vascular and microsurgery.

Choosing a version

Care of DeBakey micro grasping forceps

Close the tips gently before washing, then rinse under a slow stream. Next, dry them with a lint-free cloth and check that the tips still meet. Finally, store them in a protective case.
