Description
Covered Instrument Tray with Handle Lid
Our handle bar lid tray is a small, covered steel box for setups that need to stay closed until use. Instead of a small knob, the lid has a long handle bar across the top. That bar gives you a wide, firm grip, even with wet gloves.
A long bar for a sure grip
On a handle bar lid tray, the bar runs most of the way along the lid. So you can grab it with your whole hand, or hook two fingers under it. In practice, this helps when you lift the cover over a busy tray table.
Small footprint on the counter
The base is small and rectangular. It suits a single set of hand tools, a few cotton rolls or small items you want to keep covered. Also, it leaves room on the bracket table for the rest of your kit.
When to choose this tray
- You want a covered tray but find small knobs hard to hold.
- Space on the counter is tight.
- You lift the lid often during a long procedure.
- You need one tray for a single kit, not a large set.
Reprocessing the base and lid
Take the lid off before you clean. Then brush around the handle joint, where debris can sit. After a rinse, both parts can go through the washer and autoclave. It reaches you non-sterile but is ready for reuse once you complete a full cycle.
Where it comes from
We make this tray to Intrace specification, and a hands-on check takes place in the United States. We check that the lid sits flat and the bar is firm.
Should a defect in the build appear, you are covered: this tray carries three years against manufacturing defects. Its steel follows ASTM F899 guidance for surgical-grade stainless. For a lid with a centre grip instead, compare the 6 × 8 in tray with knob lid. You can also scan our whole hollow ware and tray lineup or check the help and FAQ section.
