Description
Bozemann Needle Holder
The Bozemann needle holder has double-curved, S-shaped shanks that carry the jaws deep into the pelvis. Gynaecologists reach for it when a straight holder would block their view.
S-shaped shanks
The two bends offset the jaws from the handle line. So your hand stays clear of the sight line while you place deep sutures. That offset also keeps your knuckles away from retractor blades.
Six long sizes
We stock 20, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 28 cm versions. Because every size runs long, the pattern belongs in deep-cavity sets. The shortest one still reaches well past a typical abdominal wall.
Tungsten carbide option
The carbide version adds hard inserts with a regular, normal serration. Also, its gold handles tell it apart from plain steel on the tray. That normal cut holds the general-size needles a Bozemann needle holder usually drives.
Where it fits
Vaginal and pelvic closures sit furthest from the incision. Then a Bozemann needle holder lets you drive the needle around a corner. Most gynaecology sets hold one short and one long size.
Cleaning Bozemann needle holder
Flush the box lock first, since blood hides in its joint. Next, scrub both bends with a soft brush. Finally, dry it open and check that the jaws still close tip to tip.
