Description
Berke Entropium Forceps
The Berke entropium forceps is a lid clamp for eyelid surgery, such as entropion repair. It holds the lid flat and still. As a result, you can mark and cut along the lid with more control. We stock it as Figure 1 and Figure 2.
Two Berke figures
We list two figure numbers for this clamp. However, the listing gives no length for either one. So check the figure drawing on the product image before you order, and choose the one that matches your current set.

- Ships non-sterile, fully reusable
Role in entropion repair
In entropion, the lid margin turns in toward the eye. During repair, a lid clamp helps hold tissue in place. Also, its pressure can reduce bleeding along the incision line.
Tips for a steady hold
First, place the clamp so it spans the area you plan to treat. Then close it with gentle force. If the tissue blanches too much, ease off a little, because crushing can harm the lid. Also, release the clamp before you close, so you can judge the final lid shape.
Caring for the jaws
Clean the clamp soon after use. Also, check the jaw faces under a light, since any burr could catch on tissue. If you find damage, set the clamp aside and contact us.
Getting the right Berke figure
Not sure which figure you need? Our FAQ hub explains how to ask us before you buy. Both Berke figures come with three years against manufacturing defects. Berke steel, in addition, conforms to ASTM F899. For a related lid clamp, view the Snellen entropion forceps, or see the whole ophthalmic surgical range.
