The Barth ear scoop is a long, slim instrument with a small scoop at its tip. Clinicians use it to lift cerumen and loose debris from the external ear canal under direct vision.

Many wax tools have a sharp edge. A scoop, however, gathers material into its bowl and carries it out. That approach often suits soft or crumbly wax that breaks apart under a curette.

Caring for your Barth ear scoop

Clear wax out of the bowl immediately. Next, wash the scoop in lukewarm water, working a small brush around the bowl. Finally, dry it and run it through a validated steam cycle.
