Description
Baby-Tischler Cervical Biopsy and Specimen Forceps Shaft
The Baby-Tischler biopsy forceps take a small punch biopsy from the cervix. They use a 20 cm shaft design with a 2.3 x 4.2 mm bite.
Small bite
The 2.3 x 4.2 mm jaws take a compact sample. So you remove only a small piece of tissue from the cervix. Also, a small bite suits targeted sampling under colposcopy.
Shaft design
A long, slim shaft carries the jaws out ahead of the hand. So your fingers stay outside the speculum while the tip reaches the cervix. As a result, you keep a clear view of the target.
With or without fixing screw
We offer this forceps in two versions: with a fixing screw or without one. However, both share the same 20 cm shaft and small bite. So ask us which version matches the forceps already in your clinic.
20 cm reach
The 20 cm shaft reaches the cervix through a speculum with room for your hand. Therefore, many colposcopy clinics keep Baby-Tischler biopsy forceps on the biopsy tray. Plus, the fixing screw option lets each clinician set it up their way.
Cleaning Baby-Tischler biopsy forceps
Open the jaws and rinse tissue from them right away. Next, flush along the shaft and brush the jaws gently. Finally, loosen the fixing screw if present and dry every part before sterilization.
