Description
Baby-Collin Retractor with 2 Pairs of Blades
The Baby-Collin retractor is a pediatric self-retaining retractor with an 80 mm spread. It comes with two pairs of 40 x 27 mm blades.
Sized for small patients
Its smaller size suits infants and children. So it keeps a small incision open without crowding the field. Also, the 80 mm spread matches the scale of pediatric work.
Two pairs of blades
The set includes two pairs of 40 x 27 mm blades. That way, you have a spare pair on hand. Then a bent or worn pair need not stop a case.
Self-retaining hold
Once opened, it holds its spread on its own. Therefore, the assistant can help elsewhere, such as with suction or instrument passing. In addition, a steady hold suits the fine work common in children.
Compared with the adult Collin
Our adult Collin model spreads to 100 mm with 38 x 60 mm blades. By contrast, the Baby-Collin retractor works at a smaller scale. So choose by patient size rather than habit, and ask us if a case falls in between.
Care of Baby-Collin retractor
Wash the instrument and both blade pairs right after the case. Next, check each blade pair for bends under good light. Finally, keep the four blades together with the frame in one tray.
