Description
Arthroscopy Instrument Fig 2
The arthroscopy instrument fig 2 is a keyhole hand instrument with the second jaw pattern in this range. Fifteen versions combine three sizes with five tip angles.
The fig 2 arthroscopy pattern
Each number in the range marks a different working end. Figure 2 differs from figures 1, 3 and 4 in its jaw design. We can send a sketch so you can compare them.
Fifteen versions
Pick the slim 2.7 mm shaft, the middle 3.4 mm shaft or the sturdy 4.5 mm shaft. Next, choose the tip: straight ahead, raised by 7 degrees, raised by 15 degrees, or swung 30 degrees sideways in either direction. As a result, one figure covers many angles of approach.
Who uses the arthroscopy instrument fig 2
Sports and joint surgeons use it during knee and shoulder arthroscopy. Also, small joint specialists use the 2.7 mm size. Additionally, many sets pair it with figure 1.
Working through a portal
Insert the instrument closed and open it only under direct view. Then work with small, deliberate movements. Close it again before withdrawing.
Protecting the jaws
Fine jaws can bend if forced against bone. Consequently, use them on soft tissue as intended. Also, the overload-protected version adds a safety margin.
Fig 2 arthroscopy in a mixed set
Few surgeons need every version at once. Instead, they keep two or three favorite tips for daily work. Spares in other angles can follow later.

The support on the arthroscopy instrument
Prior to shipping, one of our Atlanta team examines every arthroscopy instrument in person. Every arthroscopy instrument brings a guarantee spanning three years against manufacturing defects by default. To read about instrument metals, look up ASTM F899. Some trays also hold the figure 2 with overload protection. A second arthroscopy instrument on the shelf covers reprocessing gaps. We will happily quote multiples before you buy. Other pieces appear in our orthopedic instrument list. The help page addresses orders, shipping and returns.
