Agricola Eye Speculum

Description

Agricola Eye Speculum

The Agricola eye speculum is a 4 cm lid holder for clear, steady exposure. It sits between our smallest designs and our mid-size ones. That makes it a useful middle option for many smaller patients and short cases. It also suits teams that want one compact frame for most clinic work.

Where 4 cm fits in the range

Our specula run from 3 cm up to 15 cm. At 4 cm, the Agricola is still compact, yet its frame is a little larger than the tiniest ones. So it bridges the gap between infant and adult tools.

Agricola in clinic procedures

Short clinic procedures need quick setup. A compact speculum goes in fast and comes out fast. Also, it leaves room for your hands and any lamp or scope you use.

Agricola speculum pointers

Keep these points in mind:

• Match the frame to the lid length
• Open only as wide as needed
• Watch the patient for signs of discomfort

Choosing Agricola or Goldstein

Both are small. The Goldstein, at 3 cm, is the more compact choice. The Agricola, by contrast, adds a centimeter, which some users find easier to grip and place.

Steel care for small specula

Small frames have tight bends where debris can hide. Therefore, brush every bend after use, then rinse and dry. Look closely at the arms too, since a burr there can rub the lid.

Getting an Agricola speculum

The Agricola reaches you unsterile; once you wash and sterilize the Agricola frame, it is reusable for many short cases. Agricola steel meets the ASTM F899 standard. The Agricola carries our warranty for three years against manufacturing defects. Agricola users can explore our ophthalmic instruments, or compare the Goldstein 3 cm speculum. The FAQ page can help too.
